what is tune of life

The average American listens to about 2 1/2 hours of music a day for entertainment. This number demonstrates rather obviously the importance of music as a form of entertainment in an average person’s life. But music is not simply a form of entertainment. It can be used in numerous ways, even in the art of healing known as music therapy.

Music therapy is a form of therapy where professional music therapists develop personalized methods of therapy involving specific kinds of music which could help their patients. The therapists try and figure out what kind of music the patients positively react too and in turn have the patients, dance, sing, and play those kinds of music in order to help them express their feelings. Music therapy is an extremely beneficial form of therapy but is not the most common form of therapy and does not have as large a footprint as other kinds of therapy. This is why Tune of Life came to be.

Tune of Life was founded to spread the knowledge around the benefits of music therapy and how it can help with multiple types of ailments yet simultaneously be an enjoyable and personalized experience. Furthermore, Tune of Life hopes to bring folks a collection of resources and information that can help them learn more about this branch of science.
